Why would anyone want to choose me to be their realtor? You can tell from my picture that I’m not a spring chicken. However, you can probably tell by my hair color that at 72 years of age, I’m still in a bit of denial. Yes, I am thankfully blessed with good health and if it weren’t for mirrors, I would swear that I was still 40.
I am a native of Greene County with extended family and friends all over east Tennessee. I know the area well and have lived here all my life except for a two-year stent at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas with my first husband, yes, I have one of those. My first child was born there 49 years ago. The only other time out of my beloved Tennessee was in Buffalo Grove, Illinois for 2 years and in Crete, Illinois for 12 years. Both towns were suburbs of Chicago. My second son was born there in Chicago Heights 45 years ago. My first son has one 15-year-old son. My second son has two sons 11 and 9 and one daughter soon to be 7.
I moved back home to Tennessee with my boys in 1982 sight unseen to a new duplex in East Village that was built by Tom Jenkins. I didn’t have enough time or money to renew my expired teaching certificate from the University of Tennessee. During the next 3 years I sold Mary Kay, memberships at an unfinished health club. I partnered with a person to open the first tanning salon in Morristown which opened in July rather than April. I sold Radio and television advertising until the TV paychecks started to bounce. In 1985, my brother and I partnered to form Cherokee Siding and Window Company. In 1994, I met my husband, David who is best siding and window salesman this side of the Mississippi.
In 2017 l was inspired to get my realtor license. I wanted a new challenge. My husband could run the business. Enough said. The reason that you want me as your realtor is that I communicate. I work. I listen. I negotiate. I market. I am honest. I never forget who is writing my paycheck. I serve you.
